Anyone working on a project? It's cooling down in NC and it's a good time to spend in the garage to come up with ideas.

I'll be working on an electrical box and an enclosure for the RV generator.

i am currently working on a hf ham vertical antenna of my own design, nearing completion and am looking forward to being able to make my first contacts (DX) hopefully by winter.

this has been something i have wanted to do since i was about 12yo, and finally this past may i started to study for the fcc license
and on june 12th i sat for and passed the tests and was granted an extra class license, call sign AE0NX.

maybe there are other forum members that are ham operators, if so i look forward to trying to make contact.

I've got to many projects to list. Of interest here would be the Witte BD. It's going to need a new element in the fuel pump, as even with the fuel valve off it appears that fuel is leaking past the element into the crankcase. Took a guess that an element from a Lister 3/1 might fit as they are both 6mm. We'll see. I'm a little disappointed in how much the the thing bounces around.

Not Listeroid related, but recently acquired something I've been after for 50 years.
Big project.

We've got a week of clouds & rain here, just keeping the 6/1 running and some water mist down the intake

Same here and thanks to the hour meter I know she's due for an oil change in 7 hours. Nice to finally get some serious rain around here. How has your water situation been? Our spring is still running a slow dribble. Didn't have to haul any water even though the darn squirrels figured out how to chew threw the water line. That section of line is now armored with a section of 3" flex drain. We did need to turn off all our orchard and landscape water. I won't know until spring how many trees we lost.

That is something, can you tell us some about it. Do you have a track to run it? Gas, diesel, electric ?  Does it run? I love model trains and that is huge.

Ham Radio is still something I would like to get into. I recently purchased a CB about six months ago. One way to communicate with locals that have a CB if everything goes down. It's interesting what can be picked up. Listened to CB operators over 900 miles away.

I own a UB-82 radio that I used in the fire dept. Lot's of education there, but only for fire purposes. I should set a base station up and get a license too. I'll add it to the list.  :-\
