thought it might be useful to someone here

Hi mobile_bob, I'm the guy that did the PDF.
I've got a couple more drawings or "Recycled Manuals" ::) to post and I'll upload them and the platesPDF again once admin has made suggestions as to a common place were we can upload such files like PDF,TXT exec. I'm just afraid that in a years time we will sit with broken links as these "uploading sites" tend to disappear after a while.
I did ask the question here:
http://www.microcogen.info/index.php?topic=46.0
Maybe someone else can comment on where to get a common place to upload our white papers and such?

That site only appears to allow uploads. I could not view the file or download it. What am I doing wrong?

No Sir, its not poaching, I don't mind at all!
I was just hoping someone can tell us how to reliably upload this sort of stuff so that we wont have problems like rcavictim is having!
rcavictim, right-click on the link in mobile_bob's post and "Save File as..." or something similar if your using another browser than me.

Glad to know it was not just me it did now work for. Could we put these files in a temp file that woud stay up for a week and then go away to free up space for another one? Tom T
There is Lister info and a manual available here....

I had to sign up and log in before I could download.
Guys, the PDF is 820kb, to big to upload directly to our White-papers area which only allows 500kb. If I make it any smaller, it will loose to much clarity.
I try and get special permission by admin as stated by him and upload it.
As far as I know, one do not have to register to DL it, but maybe they try and trick one into doing so by not making it obvious.
There is also copies of each page in my Lister Engine Gallery, but they are JPG's and all separate pictures, not one file and a slept to DL: :(

Can you e mail it direct? Tom T
i bumped up the size limit to accomodate the file
let me know when you have it uploaded to the forum "white pages"
so i can decrease the file limit again to 500k

Check my website at www.woodnstuff.ca, under "articles" then "Lister booklet". click on that and you should be able to see an original production for the 5/1 up to the 10/2.
Admin, I upload it now, sorry for the delay, was nighttime over-here ;)
dubbleUJay
a short time later ........
Got the following error although it says that the max. size is now 1024kb! ???
Please advise.
please give it another try
i thought you were done, and reset the limit
to 500k
i turned it back up to 1024k
and will leave it there till tomorrow
sorry for the inconvenience
admin
Sorry Admin,
My post wasn't clear if I already uploaded it or not, :-[
I tried to upload it again, but after a while I get the same message of a 750kb limit!
I'll try again this afternoon, maybe your settings takes a while to kick-in ;)
Hi Admin,
I tried it again today, still get the following error: "Your file is too large. The maximum attachment size allowed is 750 KB.", although it does say that the maximum file size is 1024kb ??? I think its something to do with the software, I wonder what will it say if you make it one size bigger, say 1500mb?
Can I email the PDF to you so that you can try and put it up there?
On the other hand, you will have the same problem in the future again, so we might as well sort it out now I suppose ::)
try it again, i raised it to 2048k
that should handle it
lets hope so anyway
admin
