Bill contact Gary @ Diesel Electric. He states he carries a full line of any part you could ever want. I can't think of the web site but someone on the forum will know. Mike

I think I have been a member for over there for 2 or 3 years. I was a member when this forum started and I could be wrong but it never seemed to be this long. After time you can forget frustrations. I emailed Andrew to see what the scoop was incase anyone cares beside me. I havent heard back yet. DD

Of course everyone knows I am always good for some sort of a statement about something. I am not happy that the forum goes down. I am also not happy because it is hard for people to get signed up. What I am the most unhappy about is Andrew's hands are tied. He only has what the owner will let him have. So I feel his devotion to the forum trying to keep the spammers out by reviewing everyone should be admired. I for one would not have the patience to do that. I am sure he cringes when the forum goes down but it is beyond his control. I wish the owner would step up and make it easier for him. I like what this forum offers and I like what the other forum offers. There can never be to much information. Just my 2 cents worth. Mike DD

General Discussion / Re: omg, is this guy for real?
January 16, 2011, 12:36:20 PM
This is not the first time I have jumped to conclusions and it will probably not be the last time. I am just thankful we are able to have our opinions without getting kicked off. As to my remark to Bob and the use of the word god and not God. I know now since it was in lower case I was wrong and for that I owe Bob an applogy. I will be the first to admitt if I made a bad choice and this time I did. So I ask from Bob and all of my friends if I still have any please FORGIVE me for jumping the gun. Mike DD

Bob I think you are an alright guy. If I didn't I probably would not support this sites cause. I will have to think this was a joke, but this remark could be considered offensive. I thought relegion was not a topic to be discussed. I'm not sorry standing my ground on this. The bible teaches that works will never give us or deny us passage into the Kingdom of God. No matter how bad or how good someone is on this earth there is only one way into the Kingdom of God. Everyone has that right. The DD

Vegie I have been away from computer and have to depend on little screen on phone so if this has been addressed sorry. I was under the impression the people in the NW Terriorty used these for the only source of power they had. I thought that was your shoe in for getting them. I guess I am sure sad your government has become as ridiculous as ours. Mike DD

General Discussion / Re: Any recommendations on a welder?
December 13, 2010, 08:27:15 AM
I had to learn to weld with a stick. Thats all there was for a farm.  Stick welding works good. Now if I had the chance to start over I think mig welding would be the way to learn. Its so much easier. You can learn the technique of managing the puddle and just what angle works best. then later use a stick welder. Good luck. DD

Marcus that is just awesome. At one time that was my dream but as everything in life goes things change. I have been researching shipping container structures. There is a lot to be said for them. Very strong and can be super insulated covering inside walls. As far as outside it could go either way. If you leave outside alone not much could damage it. I am just in the begining stages. My house I have now is paid for and I am to the age I dont want a big house payment again. I still like a lot of you other ideas which I always thought should work and it seem you have proven it. Good luck. Mike DD

A friend of mine in CA bought a 2 cylinder air cooled diesel engine. I would guess a petter. The name plate says D65. Any help would be appericated. I have looked several and no luck. Thanks, Liz.

So has the engine landed at its new home???  I could light up my whole block. That might not be a bad idea to keep the crooks out. You lucky Rascall. DD
