not that i would expect an answer, but i figure why not give it a try...

i am thinking of drafting a letter to President Trump and explain our plight...

the EPA in my opinion is out of friggin control, and i want to make a pitch for allowing
folks like us to return to the ability to import small diesel engine's for the purposes of research/development
and end use for offgrid homesteads.

because he got a lot of support from folks out in the sticks, i am thinking lets make it easier to get out in the sticks!

being able to generate power "empowers" folks to populate area's that are not practical unless you got deep pockets.

i think you all know where i am going with this.

who know's maybe he or someone in his administration might take a serious look and maybe we could get the new president to do an executive order?

stranger things have happened,  and if we don't ask we will never know will we?

we have been waiting a long long time, (has it been 8 years?) to get to a place where we might get more favorable
treatment when it comes to what we do here.

Long time coming, I'm in.

Oh by the way, I never could stomach the Kool-Aid ;D

Been reading this with some interest, mixed with a small amount of dismay. It's true that interest/participation is down compared to a few years ago. Someone always comes along with out of the box thinking, and a lot of true innovation has resulted, along with some true dead-ends. There is a lot of hard earned knowledge available from some true innovators on this site, and it should not be taken lightly, no matter how much you may disagree. As advice is asked for, advice given should be taken, sometimes for face value, sometimes with a grain of salt, that's all......past that, it's ones own decision, HOW to act on it. It's a FORUM, not a fight club.

I do have a question for Number21's lineage, have you been a member here before? Some of the arguments/outlooks sound painfully familiar.

Just sayin'......

Bob,
Can you please re-post the PayPal account that we can contribute to, helping to keep the site going? Been highly involved in present employment, and not visiting as regular as I'd like, but certainly willing to help any way I can.

Thanks for all you do,
Terry

!/4" pipe is about 1/2" O.D.
3/8" Pipe is about 5/8"

A helpful chart

When working with pipe and tubing. Always make certain the I.D. is smaller than the O.D. or the hole will be on the outside of the pipe.

He He  :P,
It's always the simple things............

Nice work Bob.
i haven't really had much time to do much but check in briefly on the site lately, work has kept me hopping. Good to see you're still at it, even at a reduced pace, always look forward to seeing/hearing about your work. See you still have your 55.

Any chance of sharing your Heat-X design? Please?

Anyway, keep at it, always good to see your posts.

Hey Bob,

Wouldn't the tail end (DC section to PWM AC) of a three phase VFD (Inverter) Do what you need? Their DC Level is usually quite high, but hey, most anything can be worked with or around.

Casey,
I've been using Parker Push-lok 801 hose for all my fuel hose needs for a number of years now, no failures. Can't help you with a cost friendly clear hose, that would install easily, and remain leak free. Numerous types have been tried (by industry as well as individuals), and eventually leak air. Maybe Bob can help with some ideas.

Happy New Year,

Terry

Casey,
There are two check valves, one below the Hand Primer (access by removing same), and one below the outlet line (remove banjo bolt and line to access). These are both on the top side of the Lift pump, and have a spring above them.

Good luck,

Casey,
It will be interesting to see if your electric will pull thru the water seperator. If the filters past that are half full, it would suggest either water seperator (or tank strainer) is plugged, or an air leak between it and Dual filters. Of course, all bets are off if the hand primer is leaking air and killed pump suction from the git-go. If you can pull through the water seperator, and push through the filters to the original lift pump, it is likely an air leak at the hand primer, stuck check, or similar.

Good luck,
Terry
