Display of on-/offline status of members Avatars

I find myself time and again trying to find out if someone is online when I'm posting to ask a quick question. I'm 9 hours out-of-sync with the forum time and would like to ask as many questions as possible when the majority of members go online, otherwise I have to wait 24h again

Is there a way to display current On-Off Line status by every members avatar maybe?

Question probably directed at Admin or Ade

wrightkiller, I should have mentioned that, sorry. Its just annoying to go the the homepage when one are reading in a thread somewhere and need to know the status. Then navigate back to the thread were one needed to know in the first place

I think your online status is shown by your IM button (underneath your avatar) being "Lit up" or "not lit up" for on/off line. But I presume it's based on the same logic as the "recent members online"; I never log off as such, just close the browser window, but I assume I must show up as offline some of the time...

It seems that your right Ade, thank you. Although there's very little difference between the 2 states of the IM icon.
When one hover over it, yours show offline right now, mine further up shows online. There's a very faint yellowish circle in the online icon, I can just about see it!

I'm using the Babylon theme, and the IM indicator is either blue or grey; but there's not a massive difference between them I will concede...
