The generator head is worth at least $300.00 by itself. That is if it works. My guess is it has copper windings.

Keith,
Did you get the 175 twin?

Tom Reed

Yes, inquiring minds want to know???

Those engines are rare as Hen's teeth.
I suspect the majority of the wearing parts are the same as a 175 single.
so ring, pistons, valves, con rod bearings etc should fit and they are easily available on AliExpress.

If it were in my neck of the woods, I would not hesitate to grab it.

Sorry guys, I havent logged in for abit.. I have not purchased engine yet. But it is still available I think.. Believe me I want to purchase this engine. Like veggie said pretty rare and most parts should be able to get without to much trouble.

It is certainly out of the norm that we usually see.

You guys know the deal, I /we think we have found the next new engine to add to our collection for a project, but in reality for me, I am not sure how many dream projects I can actually finish.

I do not want to pass this engine up and it has been for sale for awhile probably because 95% of the people looking for generators in my area at least, have no idea of what kind of generator this is.

Main reason I posted about it was to show it here and see what yo all thought of it.
Build a quiet muffler for it, and maybe fix some of the problems with the old style ST head and it would probably be a pretty good setup.

This time of year is a bit slow for me income wise. If this was available back mid summer would have purchased it in a second, and probably paid the full asking price as well.

I just might say the heck with it and just buy it anyway.

To be continued and I will update you for sure if I buy it..

Thank you for the interest and info you have provided, Keith.

That is true. When I saw the new crated Kubota EB300 post on Craigslist. I immediately jumped on it. Instead of emailing, I called. I did not argue. I told the seller that I'm fine with the price. When I called to give him the money order info he said he was inundated with interested people all over the country.
I took a huge risk buying it. It was shipped from California. I lost a good amount of sleep wondering if I purchased a $1,000.00 crate of rocks. It was such a relief seeing the thing for the first time.

Before this one, I had a Kubota EA300 and a Kubota EA330. I foolishly sold both of them. It took over 10 years finding this one.
