Anyone know where we can buy Gib Key Covers in North America ?
Those green or orange neoprene boots that fit over the shaft and hide the Gib Key.

I'd kind of like one too. The best safety is not to wear loose fitting clothing around moving machinery, but as we all know stuff happens.

I made mine from 4" dia X 3" long pvc pipe. Use a holesaw to drill the center of a pvc pipe cap for the crank to go through. Works good for me.

I like Kens idea of the PVC pipe and cap. Simple and effective.

I used steel shaft collars on mine, butt it up against the gib key, and it blocks 99% of what might snag you.   And  it can keep the key from falling off.
