Source for 1 1/8" or 28mm flexible coolant hose??

I am looking for some 1 1/8" or 28mm flexible coolant hose for my yanmar project. I have found some silicone hose but it is way out of my price range. Anyone know of a source of regular 1 1/8" heater hose? I think regular heater hose would be sufficient?

I feel your pain, there is not a lot available in the 1-1/8" hose size. 40" straight piece of silicone hose is $27. I decided to use short pieces of one of those, turn some reducers, buy 10' of 1" silicone hose for $45, and finish my plumbing (including a brazed plate x-changer) with that (the 1"). I have become a believer in the silicone hose for multiple reasons, just be careful with clamp choice. Standard worm gear clamps will tear it up without wrapping the hose with something. The silicone purposed clamps can be found reasonable enough, at the same outlet as the hose (Ebay).

I used the Parker push lock hose for coolant/heater hose for a while, but found out that the 200degree limit is for real, and it hardens up and can break, or even worse, delaminate the inner liner and migrate to all the wee holes that shouldn't have hose bits in them.

i use 1" emt conduit for all the longer runs and bend it to make all the curved sections i need
then i go with factory molded hoses and buy those with the short curves needed to make the connections
there is usually enough straight sections included to make any straight line connections with the conduit.

the conduit is galvanized and with antifreeze it will never rust out in my life time.

Marine Guys to the rescue again. Most any marine store will have it in three flavors high to low is based on how flexible you need.

Thanks for the ideas guys! I did a little more searching tonight and found some of the universal radiator hoses in 1 1/8" sizes. They are the corrugated wire reinforced type. For my upper hose, i just need a basic 90 deg elbow. My lower hose is a different story though.

The galvanized EMT that Bob suggested will give you the "sacrificial anode" that most pay extra for, good idea.
