Looking for someone who can bend 1.125" tubing

I need a 180 deg "J" bend in 304ss tube with a radius of 2.25 to 2.5". Anyone know anyone with the tooling to do this. I have searched high and low and have not yet found someone that can do it.

I would try to find a ready made bend in a section of stainless industrial scrap.  Cut it out with a angle grinder and cutoff disc, and then arc weld it into the application with SS arc welding rod.  Look for a metal scrap place that takes scientific equipment.  That piece you need might be found in some high vacuum equipment, or maybe from the food industry as well.  You might try to find a distributor that sells ready made 45's and 90's in SS.  Maybe McMaster Carr?

Forget about trying to bend the piece yourself.  Never do it.

check  with the various header manufactures, hooker, dougs headers, etc.
many sell J and U bends of all sizes, and i would suspect some in stainless

if one is close enough to you they likely will even bend your tubing for a nominal cost.

You also may want to try Heat-exchanger manufacturers. Turnaround tubes at end are 180's amd are made in all manners of materials.

Thanks for the suggestions. It seems 1.125 is a bit smaller than most header shops use and way smaller then muffler shops use. 1.25 is the smallest most fab shops have dies for and the radius for emt benders is to big.

This is for an exhaust system for my hot rod trail 90 with the 140cc Chinese engine. The exhaust tubing on the bike now is a bit small and it seems that there is another 10 mph to be gained with a bigger pipe. That will take the bike from 50 to 60 mph and allow it to be taken on the freeway. The after market performance exhausts for a CT70 will fit on the bike but are a bit short and go right over the cover for the battery box.

for that application i might suggest you look into weldable iron pipe fittings

they are mandrel formed, available in tight radius, easier to weld and widely available.

albeit a bit heavier than thin wall tubing,

just another option.

If you have a Marine Canvas shop in your area, they bend SS  3/4 up to 1.25 for Boat tops. Also Try Marine Heating shop they bend schd.40 SS for Marine Diesel exhaust for boat heaters.
