As the crow flies I'm about 140 miles/225 km from upstate NH. Probably 300 road miles. Enjoy your time in New England. It's a great time of the year. Pray for few mosquito's and black flies. Can't help you with scrap yards there but I'm sure they're around.

Thanks, Geno

Hi Weibe. Ah - a man after my own heart. Goes on holiday and visits scrapyards. Quite a few years back we were up in Denver and mum got all pissy when I wanted to go visit "Scotland Yard" to pick up a few Sunbeam parts. I could have spent all day there crawling around those English cars. Enjoy! ;)

I put Pri-G in all my gas when it arrives on the ranch and never have any fuel problems with my equipment. I just fixed an old weed whacker I bought in 1986. Put in a new fuel line and it fired right up and ran like a top. It had sat unused for about 4 years before that and was not run dry before storage.

I ride a V-2 Kawasaki powered mower.  I've done a lot of "Good Gas Galloping" around the island.  Even the no ethanol crap down at the harbor.  Cheap gas is not the answer to modestly high performance small engines.  Chevron Premium absolutely rules!  It turns my mower on so good that I burn the liquid gold in everything even if the marketing team got "Regular" printed on the gas cap and the speedometer.  Cheap crappy machinery goes bad more easily than quality built equipment.  Mix the two cheapskis and get your check book out next month or season.

I wish I could say I was the good maintenance fairy and always drained the gas before storage.  My theory is that what you loose in a couple of nickles at the pump are quickly returned by better smoother performance and fewer pit stops.
