last week i ran across a patent for water mist scheme for stripping the particulate and nitrogen compounds
from the exhaust stream, the idea being a concentrate liquid fertilizer.

the canadian farmers having procured a grant from the canadian government a 3 years or so ago was very
interesting in that the exhaust gasses replaced about 90% of the normal fertilizer needs of their planting.

for a stationary engine, in an offgrid application where one will be raising his own food, there might be broad
use and a win/win situation.

i definitely am interested in doing more research

That is the direction I am headed with my 10/1 this winter as I am a farmer and have read about the canadians and the nitrogen from diesel exhaust.

Was reluctant to post though until I had some results.

Right now I am involved with the harvest from hell here in minnesota, seems to rain every other day!
So it is going to be at least a month or more to get to the building of the equipment to capture the nitrates.

So now is it a CHP+ fertilizer system?   CHP+N

Bob if you remember where you read of the patent you spoke of in your post I would love to read it if it is on line it may save me some trial and error, you know build test rebuild retest.............................

This is an interesting topic and we need to look into this more. Would like to get involved with this.
Next year I am planning to make a good size garden. About 1/8 acre.
