For all you Lister owners who joke about our "high revving" Changfa's.....  ;)
Here's a big Lister at 3000 rpm (driving a 3000 rpm, 50hz alternator)
Sound like it's about to fly apart !
AdeV should love this  :D

Let's try to get our 6/1 Listeroids to do this !

crank up the volume,

PS: I love Listers AND Changfa's  :)

Well, at least it doesn't smoke much on startup. ::)  That was winding pretty hard, I  didn't blame them for getting out of the way!
I wouldn't trust that big assed flywheel at that speed. Plum scary.

Thanks, I can now scratch an FR1 off my list of things I want to own. :)

Holy crap! No way I'd be in the same room with that thing, that has got to be absolutely deafning.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure that thing shouldn't be going that fast... FR1s are rated at 9hp @ 1800rpm, which I'd have thought was maxed out, a UK spec engine should be doing 1500rpm to get 50hz. Not 3000....

But hey, clagtastic!
Cheers!

Heh, fancy: It sold on eBay just recently for £400 quid. The seller was the same guy I got my 3.5/1 Revell compressor from...
Cheers!

Maybe the flywheel is painted orange so they can find all the pieces easier after it flies apart ?  :o
