Notice it's got holes in the flywheel for barring it over? Wow! A modern turbo charged engine that size would probably be 2500-3000 horsepower.

Last ship I was on in Seattle, the night watch was tasked with engine lightoffs before we got underway, so our cold exhaust wasn't brought to the attention of the DEQ.  A daylight plant lightoff was quite a smoke show:)
