Do you have a paypal account that I could send you money to?

I'm in the US. and am not sure how I would get money to a UK account.

PAYPAL works pretty well, to any email address.  You have to tie it to a bank account, and for the free accts, there is a 500 limit (monthly or rolling 30 days - I forget)
No service charge if you designate it as a GIFT

Hi Mike, yes if I was in UK I would use Paypal without question, however this is the philppines and any online transactions are frought with danger, this is ASIA the home of any scam you care to name.

I have too agree with Brett in regards using Moneygram service, the 10 minute pesos service works good for both parties.

These are 240v, will they work in the US with 120v?

Injinman, Hi. these balast units are NOT MAINS VOLTAGE 110 or 240ac. These are for use with a 12 volt dc. please check at the beginning of the post for a better explanation.
Brief; buy a mains 240/110 vlots ac tube light; remove the ac ballast and fit the 12v unit; connect to a 12v supply....hey presto we have light. Good for solar powers, off grid, battery supply and standby light for emergency lighting.
hope this helps. Bobbie

If I understand this correctly, they replace a 240v AC unit with these 12v DC units.  The output should be the same in order to drive the lights.

Here's how a kid does the conversion:

I used this one a couple years ago for my wife's office (powered from her PC PS):

She needs a lot of localized light for the work she does, but she doesn't normally like fluorescent lighting (normal magnetic ballasts) because of the noticable flicker and buzzing sound.  These high speed electronic ballasts don't suffer from that issue.  However, the cheaper electronic ballasts will typically fail when the tube fails and have much shorter life in general.

Yep, the higher frequency inverter does give cleaner light from a florescent...

Right, they operate around 20 kHz.  Some of the newer ones use pulse width modulation so you can even dim the light too.  And there is also about a 10% benefit in luminous efficacy (i.e., amount of light you get for a given power input) at these higher frequencies.

Good day to our members,
Can I place a reminder here for those who have ordered any of the ballasts.
I do not have any problem sending the items before payment is made, but it may be a matter of courtesy if, once you are in receipt of your order to either PM or email me to confirm the fact.
It would also help those coming behind you to make your payment soon after.
What your not being charged for is my time running around getting it boxed ready for shipping.
Thanks. Bobbie

Just two questions....is the price still 4.50 plus shipping? and the cost to ship to the U.S.A.    .....

                                                           THANK YOU {WRIGHTKILLER}

P.S.  can we get a volume discount?

YES and YES but NO to the third... you get for the same price as I am paying.
just as a matter of interest, I now have 50 of each unit.
The price in our local currency is 200 Peso which roughly equates to 4.50$ in the US. Each posting has a tracking # so you can check its where abouts. It also tells me when it has been delivered and signed for.
Later today I will upload pics of the energy saving lights that fit E27 fittings common in the US (lights that screw in) also 12 volts.
