Woo Hoo!  Light Show!

Just what I was thinking - except we're expecting solid overcast and rain - no Northern lights for us! (I've seen them once from North Texas).
Witte 98RC Gas burner - Kubota D600 w/ST7.5KW head.
I'm not afraid to take anything apart.
I am sometimes afraid I'm not going to get it back together.

Almost clear here tonight. No lights yet but I am expecting them. Will keep an eye out.

I checked our sky at 3:3o this morning. Just a faint cherry glow to it. Nothing spectacular.  :(

Here is a great site for info on these sorts of events:

Did you notice on that site there are over 1200 potentially hazardous rocks out there? One is gonna pass inside the orbit of the moon. We are sooo over due, hopefully when our number is up it aint a planet killer.

....And make sure you have your power generation systems up and running by then !
Nothing attracts a women like a guy cooking stew on a hot plate powered by a Listeroid.  ;D

So what does an Isuzu powered hot plate attract?   ::)

Tightening the chin strap on my tin foil hat as we speak... ;D

Seriously, though - my Bell Canada Satellite TV has been crapping out all day, about once every two hours it loses it's signal for a minute or so. Could be a coincidence. But it's usually rock solid, even in rain and snow.

Tin foil won't do it, might even kill ya, ya need a grounded copper screen Faraday cage hat, or a lead fedora with inch thick lead.

Hmmm.... Sheep.... Maybe I need a rotissiere for my hot plate.

Then I will have a light show, power, dinner, hungry friends, (hopefully some may have some beer!)

Let's Go!    ;D
