CoVert operation hampered by Erectile Disfunction

I'm really having a tough time these daze. Five years ago, when I was still partially young, I began the erection of a very ambitious scratch built DIY wind turbine.  Working as hard as my aging body while plagued with disability and chronic fatigue will allow I have managed to come close to project completion but as the years progress I am getting less and less done each year.  I really had hopes of getting the four massive airfoils completed this year but between bad rainy weather and health problems I don't see it happening.  On top of this I have started to make a second green energy producing backup wind turbine because when you are relying on a system you gotta have a backup for security. Hence the so called "CoVert" operation.  In case you weren't born in France or Canada, Vert is French for green.

I know that I cannot have the big turbine making power for me this winter but I may have a chance at getting a simple 2 kW class HAWT fabricated and erected in the few weeks I have left before the snow flies come again.

I'm not fully engaged in the construction phase of this smaller HAWT yet but have the pieces pretty much all gathered together.  It will be a mobile, sit on the ground freestanding 63 foot steel tower that tilts down for turbine maintenance.  Oh crap, just the description sounds like too much work to do in the next few weeks.

Because of the tilt down feature all I absolutely have to get built while the weather is warm enough is the tower.  The head can be fabricated in winter time in the comfort of the shop.

You have done more than most people are willing to tackle. I am going through some times in my life also. My mind is willing but my body is starting to slow down some and I can't get done what I would like.

This winter I might as well look into another audio project to keep me busy. At least I can do this in doors in a nice warm room.

Lets not lose sight of what we would like to accomplish in life.

I have plans for and parts gathered for several tube amplifier projects that I would love to be able to get around to.  The homestead power system has priority.

Your "backup" wind power project is yet another full blown MAJOR undertaking !
I think your understanding of what "one man can do" needs some recalibrating. 
Especially if you want it operational before winter. !
And good luck with the erectile disfunction. Perhaps the viagra clamps are too tight at the base of the structure.?

Unfortunately a little pill won't help with the kind of erections that I am trying to achieve!

I know how you feel. I am younger than most of the old farts here but I have the medical record of an 85 year old. I still think I can do everything I did when I was 18 (and I should!) and I just can't. It continues to pile and pile up. I've got about 2,000sq ft of warehouse space full of projects waiting to happen, not to mention a half dozen trucks I want to fix up. Maybe someday....

That sounds exactly like my shop.  No room to move in there now with all the treasures gathered to enable and make use of in future projects.  I have no interest in working on motor vehicles anymore so that at least is a small blessing.
