Ive seen it a more and more ,cant do it here but seems to be a nice economic solution.

I've known of the use if them in the types of vehicles in those clips that weibe posed above, but this was the first time I've seen it used in what we here in the good ol' USA think of a 1/4ton truck.

Sure would be interesting to see how that motor is coupled to the tranny of the truck.

You would think the power stroke of a single would be hard on that transmission.

I have seen the same thing set up with Lister singles in India, vee-belt drive linkage to the transmission - actually run on the highway. I'll have to dig out some of my pics...

Somewhere I've seen pics of some small engine mounted on top of the original engine, which had been gutted, with just a belt. They used the old engine as an "adapter".  ;D
