Any opinions on a Voltmaster generator head? I have a 7.5kw ST head that I plan to add to my little 2 cylinder Kubota but I got to thinking... for less than $400.00 I could get a Voltmaster ready to go!

Hi Randy,

A couple of years ago I built a Launtop (Kubota style) diesel with a Voltmaster head.
The unit has been very reliable since.
They are very serviceable and use standard ball bearings (easy to get).
The units are brush-less and have the overloads and electrical outlets built-in.

hope this helps,

I'm thinking of one too. Where's the best place to order one of these?
handfull of horizontal water-cooled Changfa-style motors, in tractor, generators, etc.

Not too sure of the best place to buy one. I was thinking of this place

There are lots of places and their pricing all seems similar.

Hi Randy!
Take a look at my Avitar!
Also I had trouble with my first one, the factory took care of me.
You can see the bad unit on an ocilliscope.
Check it out.

Here is where mine came from, he's a factory rep.
Looks like he has a good price.

Thanks, I'll look into it. How did your replacement Voltmaster look on the O-Scope?
