Safety rule #3 - Don't wear a neck tie when starting a lister

thankfully i didn't have to see the aftermath, like that which was posted on a machinist forum last year.

some poor fellow got caught in a rather large lathe, took him in and chewed his head off down past the shoulders.

made me sick seeing that one, as i am sure it did those that had to retrieve his remains.

btw, what is the deal with having little kids around these engine's?

i guess anyone that would think to start one of these engine's with a neck tie on, probably doesn't even think of his kids
safety at all.

I thought it was scary enough just like it is.  I had my finger tight against the [End] key from the moment I say the kid.

I just don't get the kids.  At least it'd be quick.  I'm figuring a way to keep my favorite kid out of the flywheels on my Witte.  He may be 66 but he's still got a few good years left in him.

Funny thing about kids around machinery, you don't see to many stupid ones, at least not for very long...
