Saw Stop system works with regular pitch blades but I have my doubts that it will work with reverse pitch non ferris metal cutting blades. Reverse pitch teeth will not be able to dig in that aluminum stop.
I ask the question to the Saw Stop dealer about reverse pitch non ferris metal cutting blades two years ago and he did not have an answer.

My bet the stop will not stop this type of blade. So my answer is I put my trust in common sense. Keep your fingers out of the blades path no matter what type of saw it is and what type of safety devices it has.

Oh, by the way. I like to see them cut aluminum with a Saw Stop. Good luck.

I would follow safe operation guidlines on any power equipment. And yes our projects do fall in this category.
