The red thingy is just a temporary piece of gas-hose I cut along the side to keep the heat in the pipe. I'm still looking for the "right thing" that will look OK. (IMHO, red doesn't go with green!)

I tried to keep the run to the pump as short as possible, it takes under a minute for the diesel to work its way through at shutdown.
A friend of mine has a lot of these 3-way taps laying around which he collected from petrol/paraffin engines.
I still have to put some type of heating on the HP line to the injector as this takes a very long time to heat up.
I fitted a thermostat recently and this gets the engine up to temp under 10 minutes. Before it took a hour and a half to get to 60degC, I didn't take reading after that to 80degC, but I presume another hour or so.
I'm still thinking about a heat-block on the side of the head, but recently found a soldering iron heating element, the ceramic type with a hole through the center, which will fit snugly over the HP pipe, but now to find a suitable connector when I cut the pipe to fit the heater! It cannot fit over the ends (nuts) of the HP pipe. Otherwise I'll have to make up a new pipe with the element fitted before putting on the injector side fitting.
I still like the heat-block idea that I spoke about in the old forum as the head heats up rapidly and I almost cannot touch it after about 15 minutes after starting!
I'll have to thing a bit more I suppose.

O-yes, before you ask, the flow-control tap on the intake manifold is for either LPG or Hydrogen in the future  not that I mind answering any questions mind you.

You might want to check with the owner of the old site, there are even in cyberspace rules and laws covering the cut and copy of web info into other sites.  Although we post here, once submitted we dont own what we post.  If the old owner does not agree they can complain to this sites ISP and have it taken down.

One thing is for certain i would want an answer on this question before i volunteered anything to another forum that might have value to me.

I suggest everyone should be asking that question.

Folks work hard on their projects, spending countless hours in research and development, and often
times significant amounts of money. They then take the time to sit down and write up a report to post to
a forum to freely distribute the fruits of their efforts and in my opinion it would be near criminal for anyone to take that work without both compensation and attribution  or credit to the originator of the work.

This forum will not take anyone's work as long as this admin has one last breath in his body.

This is something i feel very strongly about, and was a major factor in my decision to take on the task
of building this forum. Over the years i have seen many people sit back and take credit for others work
and in some cases not only take credit but develop a product for sale based on someone else's idea.
Certainly there are protections offered by  patents, but my point is, if one is to do the work and then freely publish it for everyone's benefit then he should from that point on be the one associated with it.
No one else should be allowed to take that from the originator.

(just so everyone knows what my position is)

I'm the guy with the backup, it's about 5 months old.    All threaded and everything, but I've no idea how to best "import" it to a new site.  Maybe it could be a locked thread, but still searchable.  There was a lot of good classic info there - along with a lot of ranting and such.  I can send it off in a DVD (I think if I zip it, it will fit on a single DVD) to folks who want one, but, having it online would be a benefit if one has the webspace. I have DSL, so uploading it would be many painfully slow days.

I've got one I burned sometime in mid-August, I think. If I can find the damned thing.

as this forum evolves it will become apparent that the value is in all the ancillary bits and pieces
that generally are of little or no concern to an original dursley lister owner. Most of the dursley boys
care more about decal's and proper paint schemes than they do in autostarting, recovery of heat, driving refrigeration, establishing test procedures/protocols, etc.

I've got the files at home, but am dealing with a death in the family, and won't have time till Oct 11th to catch up on this.  But - the old site is back up today anyway,

I used HTTrack, which took several days, and >5GB, someone else used the trial version of TelePort Pro which only gives a partial site (whatever that's worth)

from what i gather now, there are several sources of the info from the other site
i suspect it won't be long before it is available for folks to sort through and bring forth
what is of value, and dump the rest.

5gb is a lot of stuff, i suspect there is less than maybe a few megabites of really useful stuff
so its going to be a chore to sort out.

Mike, I was looking a the teleport pro site yesterday & it seems {if i read it correctly} that a new trial version will allow you to down load 40 sites completely (if correct) before having to purchase the program.
