I have been hearing talk that the EPA has finally stopped Listerroids from coming into the USA assembled. Is that true?

As far as I know, yes.  IT seems that the importers in the U.S. have been scared off importing by the EPA threat of seizing container shipments at the port of entry.  While I have not heard of an actual Listeroid shipment being seized, I have heard of other non-compliant engines beingturned back.

Listers, Changfas, Redstones, AG's and anything else diesel I can get my hands on!

only a slight inconvenience. You can still buy the parts and build an engine. I know there was a couple of guys that sold an assortment of spare parts. If you made a purchase from each of them, you had a complete engine. You just had to assemble it but you would normally have to disassemble a complete engine anyhow to check it out. I'd rather start with just the parts and built it from scratch anyhow.

the difficult parts are flywheels, crank, and block.  I don't see too many of those listed in the vendors spare parts bins.

well if they can get everything else they can get those too, those are things you seldom need for repairs. I been thinking about setting up another engine.

When you buy a new cylinder, does if come with an ID plate on it, or are you supposed to transfer the old one to the new cylinder ? (not the liner, cylinder complete).
