I am in the process of building a pulley that will be using a automotive type sepintine belt. Has anyone got any data on the form of the micro groove on the pulley?
Thanks

veggie....good find! I would like to find any data for the type "K" or automotive style. They seem to want to hide the data. Type "K" is a .140 pitch x 40 deg. I can use any type at this point but the automotive type is easy to get a belt for.

The belts for these sheaves are generally less expensive than automotive belts of the same size.
The drawback is that they must be purchased through a power transmission dealer and most of the time they have to be brought in from their supplier.
Point being, when the S#@t hits the fan, which style will be most accessible.
Which ever style you go with, get a few spare belts.
