Need a little help, I bought a used xantrex true charge 40 charge controller ,but it has no temp sensor.
I can't seem to find one on line, they are discontinued . They do have them in stock for a true charge 2 it is the latest model .
They doth seem to have a phone jack kind of connection. Any one have any idea  if they are interchangeable? Or any line on a the older type sensor. Thanks

best to check with xantrex, and see if they are the same. I don't have a clue.

If you can find the manuals for both, maybe, if the connector is the same, the sensor is too.

Hi.  I did a little digging, the Xantrex part number is: 808-0231, and it seems to be the same temp probe used on the Prosine 2.0 inverter - which is still sold by Xantrex.  So, you SHOULD be able to purchase one from them??   (though it might be under a different part number, looks like Xantrex reved their part number system a while ago..)

As near as I can tell, it was also used on the Prosine 2.5 and 3.0 inverters as well.

You can try searching Ebay as well, I noted one was just sold on Ebay Sept 17th for $7.50....

This site says they have one:  http://www.boatelectric.com/back_door.htm

At least on their Web page they say they do!   Good luck!
