Guess mine is modern.....a 1965 International 606 diesel with a low gear clutch.  I've had it in 4 feet of snow when logging, with chains it will pull most anything.  The front end loader will pick up a medium sized car easily.

Listers, Changfas, Redstones, AG's and anything else diesel I can get my hands on!

Well, it's official. Drum roll please........ This particular engine crowd likes any machinery that is old, heavy, and built to last. Or even looks old.
John, if I saw 6 feet of snow, I would s##t my pants!  Not familiar with a 606, but it must be a sho-nuff serious tractor. When I have to chain up a tractor, I'm moving farther South.
Eugene, I would love to see that Massey Harris. I know a Mennonite guy that put a 307 chevy V8 in his old Massey-Harris when the original engine let go. He told me "I've never ridden a motorcycle, but I get an idea of what it would be like from driving that tractor".
He had 2 of them, the second, he used an old 4.3 V6 and left the automatic trans on it. He coupled the automatic to the tractor's tranny
to slow things down a bit, plus he had reverse in any gear.
Tom post a pic of that C40 would love to see it.

Ya'll are 'way tougher when it comes to cold weather than this old country boy! Seriously, if I woke up with that much snow on the ground, I would have to have clean drawers (southern for underwear) airlifted in.  Eugen, thats a nice old Massey-Harris, don't see many with a wide front end. How do you get the  kb  count low enough to post? I guess I could try pics from my cell phone, maybe they are small enough. I figure it out I'll post a few pics of my junk.
My son in law is building a storage shed, and flooring his gooseneck trailer, we have been sawing 20ft timber for a couple of days, It has turned into a job! Been working the Woodmizer  and the Belarus pretty hard too.

Guys,

I succumed tp the tractor bug and have bought an Indian VST-180D 18 horse diesel. I have since gotten it running without a lot of fuss, but I am wondering where I can get parts if I need them. It only has 15 hrs. on the clock but it is several years old, so that tells me it breaks down a lot.  :(
Its a cool tractor; its 4wd with a locking rear diff and I think a two-speed pto. I have fitted it with a rear snowplow blade for which I hope is a snowy winter!

I have a 1953 Ferguson TEA  which my father bought new. What a proud day that was. It is currently on the ways for a refit.  I have fixed the hydraulics and now have to split it apart for a ring gear replacement.  It will be returned to regular duty when I am done.  I have an International 434 Diesel for the heavier jobs.  dp

Well Ron I had to move a 30' power pole some one gave me so I got a Pic. Will try to post it. The old girl still does her part. Tom T

Sure better than trying to do it by hand :)   T

I here the better than trying to do it by hand! I finally broke down and mounted forks on my work tractor, I don't know how I ever got along
without 4x4 and a front end loader! The only drawback is that it is too strong for it's own good. I have to really watch my son, I love him, but that boy could tear up an anvil with a rubber hammer. I would post a picture of the old Russian girl, but I can't get the pixel count down.

Hey, thanks a bunch rcavictim.I don't know exactly what it is in the background, but I don't think I could even start to spin it!         Well, here goes. We, (me, my son, and my son in law) were trying to split a 30some odd inch diameter
white oak that was too big for the sawmill. Since we already had loaded it with the old beat up Belarus, and it was REALLY heavy,
we decided to split it on the mill. After a couple of hours, it was a total loss, the log was full of fence wire 'way down in the heart.
Probably been there for a hundred years or more. Anyway here is a couple of my "toys".
