Crankcase mist - new engine

I think when my 1.6 VW diesel ran away, it was more of an issue with the oil not draining back to the sump quickly enough.
At any rate it was a very smoky, hair raising experience.  I was in a hard right turn at full throttle and high rpm, at pretty much the limit of the tires.  When I lifted the throttle, she didn't quit pulling!

Glad I wasn't coming the opposite way in that curve!!!  :o

Ok so could you finish the story. Did the engine survive? What did you do to pull out of the runaway condition?

Oh, sorry!  I managed to hang on till the road straightened, then choked the engine down with the brakes.
A very dull ending.
The engine survived just fine, and never did it again. Never did figure out just exactly why it ran away in the first place,
and since the incident couldn't be re-created I had to assume maybe I had it a tad over filled  with oil?
I think at 5000-5500 the little rascals will pump out the sump faster than it can drain back, under certain conditions,
but that's just my theory.
