Anyone know if lister/petter made one of these?
I think the Lister LR1 was similar?

I would like a smaller diesel for an application with very little available space.
This unit would be ideal. I'm guessing its an 800 - 1000 rpm unit.
Did Petter make such a model? Peteroid?

Mobile_Bob, didn't you have some Petters for sale? any small ones?

Thanks,
Veggie

i got petteroids, and they aren't too big,

big is such a subjective term you know,

you would never tell your wife she looks big in that dress,

big as compared to what?  as compared to a locomotive engine
or the triple expansion engines used on the olympic class ocean liners...

ok, enough already huh?

got two twins that are 20/2, and two that are 28/2 that my business parnter and i have that
are for sale, at a very good price,, the come with radiators, fans and water pumps ya know...

did i tell you they are not so big?

:)

failing that i have a minipetter, that is a 2.8hp iirc,
i also have a 9hp changfa that i might part with (r185)

what exactly do you have in mind?

does it need to be water cooled, or would an aircooled work?
i think i could part with an aircooled 3.5hp changfa

Hi Bob,

Those twins are BIG (Relatively speaking). :o

1]What rpm does the minipetter spin at?
2]Does it produce the 2.8 hp at 800 rpm?
3]Air cooled or water cooled?

this is what i think i remember about the minipetter
it is water cooled, and it runs at either 1500 or 1800rpm
i suspect it is rated at 2.8hp @1500rpm

other than that it is still in its indian crate, never ran, never
inspected, probably with the typically faulty governor and all
the sand that an indian assembler can pack into the thing.

lol

i really don't know anything about it other than it is in the crate
is a minipetter, and has 2.8hp stenciled on the outside of the crate.

oh yes, and it is priced reasonable if you want it.

i would probably part with it for 250 bucks to get it out of my inventory.

and if you want to drive down to pick it up, i would part with it for 200 bucks.

and if you want to buy a pair of twin petteroids, i will give you the minipetter!

or an aircooled 3.5 changfa if you would rather,

either one free with the purchase of a pair of petteroid twins, just come on down
we got a forklift to load you up with.

what a deal!!!

you know you are secretly lusting after a pair of petteroid twins, sitting side by side in a power room
now aren't you?

lol

Well, I live in a residential area with a small garage that's already full of projects.
I must leave the big twins for Jens, that his area of expertise.
I will PM you about the Peteroid. (click on "My Messages" in the top menu)
