Hi All!

  To Moderators:  I wasn't sure where to put this, so I  stuck it here - if it is better somewhere else, by all means, move it!  <grin>

  I have found a Dunedin Injectester that is for sale at what looks to me like a good price;

  http://newjersey.craigslist.org/tls/2512699337.html

  The company blurb says that it is designed for Bosch injectors and, since the Mercedes uses Bosch, I though it MIGHT be what I need.

  Does anybody have any experience/feedback with this unit?

  What I am specifically interested in is whether or not I can determine the "pop" pressure of injectors with this unit.

  There are a couple of different sources, on the Web, that tell you how to build a "pop" tester, but I can't buy the parts to build one for twice what this costs!  <grin>

  One thing that I was/am nervous about is that it is designed to be used on an injector "in situ', installed on the engine, so I would have no idea of what the spray pattern looked like for the injector I was testing, if in fact I can test for "pop" pressure with this unit.

  Any input is appreciated!

Wow!  Buy it Wayne unless they're 69.95 brand new.  You could put a heavy piece of plywood between your two Mercedes engines and then you'd have a great injector testing station.  ;)

If I lived on that side of the states I'd buy it - really.

Wayne this thing looks to me like it is intended to calibrate "pop off" pressure when installed between the injector pump and the injector or to diagnose pump and pop pressure problems. As such, it has no high pressure pump of it's own. Basically a bunch of adapters and a high pressure gauge.
Just my uneducated  observation, and you know what that's worth! ;)
