Getting no email notification when I post!

Guys,

I cannot seem to get email notifications to work when someone post on a thread I've enabled to do so 

I've tried different setups in my profile, but none seems to help. When I click on the button to be notified in a thread I'm interested in, it asks me if I'm sure that I would like to DISABLE it!
So it must be working, I'm just not getting it.
I've got a Gmail account and I did look in my spam box, but nothing.

Any ideas?

Now, i may help a bit there...

Go to your Admin panel; Configuration, Server Settings, and choose the Feature Configuration tab.
There you can choose the e-mail setup for the forum. If you receive email services from the same host/server as where the forum are hosted, it should work with the 'Default PHP' setting. If this is not the case, you have to configure the settings for a SMTP account you have available. Note that if this board gets a lot of messages, it could greate a good deal of emails for the configured email server; not all isp's are happy about that.

Hi Admin, any news on this topic please?
Why I need it is because of the fact that I'm on a dial-up connection, my emails are forwarded to my cellphone and its a bummer to connect every time just to see if there is activity on one of the threads I'm watching.
