Changeover plug removal

My Metro 6/1 came with the cylinder head plug, but being dumb as I am, I decided to order a changeover valve to play with.  After 100 hours of runtime on WVO, I decided to pull the changeover valve and go back to just the plain plug.
WELLLLL the inner part of the changeover valve was stuck in the head!!!

My solution may help others in the future.

I used a 12-24 tap and threaded the small hole in the plug, and put in a 3/4" screw to seal the hole.
Then I screwed in the back part of the valve about 1/2 way, so if this worked, the plug wouldn't shoot out and hurt anything.

I cranked the engine over, turned on the fuel, dropped the compression release and BANG!!!!!
The plug popped out and was stopped by the rest of the valve.
As soon as the assembly moved, it lost compression so it didn't continue to run, just the single firing event!!

I unscrewed the valve, and everything came out nice and easily!!!!

The beauty was that the 12-24 thread tap fit beautifully and I didn't need to drill anything.

Hope this helps someone in the future.
