it was suggested we add a board for components, parts and other items of interest
to our members

sometimes in our travels each of us will come across a source for a relay, pulley
or other surplus part or ebay auction that we might think would be useful to others
here on the forum.

so we setup a board to post those sort of things to, simply just put in the title what it is
and a short writeup with a link.

reading many of the members posts here, it is apparent that there is a world of knowlege
of all the bits and pieces necessary to building what we build, but if a particular part gets mentioned
in a topic it will end up getting buried and be harder to find later if someone should decide he
wants to look into getting some particular part or component.

there has been a lot of talk about over/under voltage relays, micro controllers, etc
i am thinking that maybe posting the source of some of these parts will over time become a resource
all by itself here.

thanks

I think this is a very good suggestion and a valuable idea to implement!

That would be a great help.  I'm trying to acquire parts for 4 different system designs.  Our corporate sourcing is as valuable to me as our corporate engineering.  I have wondered whether we could go even further, for instance, to the assembling of groups of components for various common solutions.

We could make a good source list for the four classical elements.  Air, fire, earth and water.  Tragically, three of these are now already on the endangered list.

Give FIRE a chance, soon there would be nothing to burn as well! ;)
Mind you, that's one way of getting rid of HELL! ;)

Just a bump to the top!
Good idea, I'll post when ever I find a new one.
I do have plenty of ones I use now.
