efficiency of a car/truck alternator

this paper is referred to by researchers all over the planet, and is cited almost everywhere
improving alternator efficiency is written about and also in articles written about the new 42 volt standard
for automotive use.

42 is the charging voltage of a 36 volt system from what i understand
but i might be wrong,, i really didn't dig into that detail at all because it wasn't what i was interested
in while doing the research.
