I never knew such record existed.  I'll pull the tires being used as a cover off and look for a name plate.  Thanks for the tip.

Sometimes even if it does not have a tag there is a  recorded  well log with the state water master. Some states let you get online and you can search for the location of the well either by street address or section and township. It is handy to know if you are buying bare land and want to know what the neighbors had to do to get their water......and of course all states may vary in the record keeping dept......
