The new category, Ford 240/300 inline six has been made to help organize and archive important information about the Ford 240 and 300 in-line six engines.

The 240 engine was introduced in early 1960's. I think somewhere 1963 or 1964.

Soon after the 240 was introduced. Ford took the 240 engine and stroked it from 3.18 inches, to 3.98 inches which brought the displacement to 300 cubic inches. And in 1965, Ford introduced the 300 engine to the public.

In this forum category, we are working to create a place where it's easy to find information about these engines. The main goal is to archive important information. This will prevent already hard to find information from getting lost.
