add= One of the new Remy International 12 volt 420 amp 80% efficient HVH High Voltage Hairpin Alternators, and a Balmar Controller and you got a real charge source.

Also add a Gov...America Controller, along with a small or large bat bank, with two 2800w inverters, and you have a variable Speed Inverter-Generator with peak/start loads of about 12kw.

Now with a little experimentation with the diode pack and I think you can go 24, 36, or 48 volt.

I would use to never have anything to do with, a Delco alternator, but their new HVH technology is right out there one the edge.
