Hi to all; I found this board through another while reading some of Mobile Bob's stuff do blame him LOL.
My interest and experiences are spread across the spectrum. I am from Texas so you can hold that against me if you like. But I have worked and lived all over the planet for the past 9 years I have been living in the land of sand (Kuwait) As I approach a certain age I have been thinking about an early or a semi retirement and relocation to somewhere in rural Europe maybe Romania, Bulgaria or Spain. SO I am designing a self contained living module which will be 2 to 4  high cube 45 ft shipping containers modified and cut up to be the dwelling and my workshop This will include  co-generative power either grid tied or not. Since I will be purchasing from 30 to 400 acres the topography of the land will determine how well the wife & I will be able to be as completely self sustaining as possible while possibly employing up to 40 or 50 persons as time goes on. for the agriculture/ fish farming and manufacturing facility.
#1 will be designing my electrical generating system. IE wind / solar/ bio diesel/ or possibly hydro.
