All you owners of air cooled chinese diesel (Launtop, Yanmar, Changfa etc...)

Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the injector timing ?
And if so, how is it done ?

I'm slowing one down to 1200 rpm and the stock units are optimized for 3600 rpm.
Timing will be way too far advanced unless I alter it.

thanks

Shims under the pump. Looks pretty easy.
Here's a link to the complete manual. Large file, 13 meg.

Geno,

Thanks very much for that. :)

The 30 page Chinese converted manual that came with mine is much less elaborate.
In fact, near the end of the booklet it instructs the user to change the jet in the carburator if the engine
is used above 3000 ft. elevation ! ALSO...the spark plug may need to be changed to a different heat range !  HUH !  ???

Yes thanks Geno! Eventually I'll use my engine for something. It's too big for the garden tractor I bought it for.

NP, I've got the LV series service manual and parts manuals as well. They're all really large files though.

Thanks, Geno
