If you ever need to explain how an engine works to someone (or are a little confused yourself) here is a neat site with animations showing the basic mechanics of many different types of engines.

Thanx for posting that.  Helps clear up any confusion.  I really had no idea how the rotary Mazda engine worked before.

Thanks Brett!  Cool site.   I had never seen the Gnome rotary before, and some of the steam and stirling designs were new to me also.
