That's the GT series.  :(

They had a recall earlier, the DC disconnect (always a weak spot at 550VDC @ 30A) was just giving up the ghost, and some owners were "teasing" the switch while the sun was up.

That's not the only issues (with xantrex)...I know 2 dealers that dropped Xantex in the last few years..... Customer Service...was the big issue. Sometimes cheap Chinese crap isn't the best answer.

In America, sometimes we do care about quality...I hope it catches on.

I believe that all American importers should be held liable for the C(chinese)RAP that they import.

Just a little rant. :::::"?

Hihi.

the chinese make what the importer wants,
Say they order a container ful of inverters top of the bil .
Then you get it ,importer happy ,costermers happy .
Then the importer calls the chinese maker ,i want it cheaper so making more money.
Chinese say jes jes jes oke cheaper ,they take some cheaper components ,importer happy costemers not so.

Dont blame every thing on the chinese .

Hi Wiebe,

I don't only blame the Chinese.

It's the hole Global Economy thing, and the consumers desire for low cost...But as they say Build it and they will come. Now if China would quit manipulating there currency/economy things would cost more to produce there.

In the Organic Food markets, they have a movement called Close Sourcing. Which is to purchase as close to the source geographically as possible. That creates local jobs, and saves money on transportation costs....

I would like to see that movement catch on in the whole consumer market.
