Dear all,
got my NT110 today

http://listerenginegallery.com/main.php?g2_itemId=4024

you can compare the 6/1 heavy flywheel with the Yanmar unit. every design in this unit is solidly made.

did not manage to fire it yet as i cant get the fuel pump to deliver high pressure. i think there maybe some rust blocking the non return valve.

will have more pic of this bluestone

I'm having one of my dense mornings.  Simple or Not what?

Low gear, my apology,

i was not allow to put up post unless i put up a question. being a chinese, the 1st thing that come to my mind is "simple or not" which is your western equivalent to KISS engineering.

but there was some unique feature in the NT110. the diesel and lub oil strainer has manual cleaning feature. the de compressor level design is priceless and it even came with a hand level to manually activate the fuel pump.

i got this old unused engine for the price of about 2 unit Changfa 195. the owner never did to couple it to a pump. it was ran occasionally. the diesel and lub oil are original factory filled back in the 60s supposedly.

it is rated at 10hp at 1000rpm continuous duty. save for the single 24in flywheel, it will make the Redstone envious.

more pics to come once i oven up the crank cover and the rest of the engine details

Startomatic, what are your plans for this engine?

i plan to live off grid in my farm when i retire so this NT will drive a ST5 while my 6/1 will drive a 3KW Mawdleys. hopefully with this arrangement, i need not be bothered with engine failure etc until my ripe old age. what do you think?

Sounds good to me ...Good Luck ..and send more pictures     We like pictures ;D ;D ;D

fired her up today. real nice and sweet. the governor is good for about 500~1100rpm without load. take a peek into her innards.....almost like new. wonderful machine.

Billswan,

my dad emigrate to Malaysia from China about 75 years ago as a 3 years old kid.

i am lucky to grow up here in one of the many British owned rubber/oil palm plantation where my dad works as a mechanic working on with the many Listers and Rustons.

as a schooling kid, i also double up as his assistant so slow speed stationery diesel has always been our common hobby.

the NT is solid and refined unlike the CS as it is relatively young in design. i saw many of this model in Indonesia where it is use to drive pump to irrigate the rice field in Jawa island.

the chinese/taiwainese/indian still make piston/liner/valve etc for this model. the fuel injection components are hard to come by though!

glad you like the NT

Sure is interesting how the internet can bring together people from all corners of the globe.

From Malaysia to Minnesota USA.

Good luck with your many engines and projects there startomatic.

I see.....Minnesota the land of 3M and Cargill.

they both have operation in Malaysia.

yes, i fully agree to you on the wonder of internet.

i sign up with my ISP back in 1994 having being convinced that if i equate the Encyclopedia Britannica to a tap flow of information, the internet, as the savy sales person told me the internet would be like the Niagara Fall.

hence, i am one of the pioneer of email/internet user in my country having started with 9600Kps modem right to 4Mps ADSL now.

i am happy that is run happily from 600rpm to a about 1000rpm. the video is taken at about 750 rpm. the frame is hastily built and the ST5 genset will be installed soon. the engine is relative quiet despite the absence of the muffler!

Nice! Makes my Xing Dong sound like a oil drum full of scrap iron rolling downhill.
