So, with WAY too many projects on the burner, another one just couldn't resist following me home today.

Thought that I'd share it.

Yanmar TS70C, 6 hp cont, 7 hp max, with a LoadMaster (what is supposed to be) 6 KW alternator.  I'm wondering if it's closer to a 5 KW, but unsure because I've yet to check the numbers.

Originally from a sailboat complete with manuals, control panel, exhaust system and mounts.  Always been stored inside and in excellent condition.  The story goes that it was working fine but the boat owner re-powered and chose to replace the genset as well.  I don't know how many hours on the unit.

I wanted to see how the real deal compared to the Chinese versions.

Should be a fuel sipper I would think.

Enjoy,

Steve

While searching the web for info on my new engine, I stumbled upon test data using biofuel centered around two of these engines.  Specifically, they were used for the long term durability and coking tests.  Thought it was interesting.
