Yes,, that is how all my radiators are mounted,, but with heaver angle iron or sq tubing.

So how stable is your set up?

The first ice storm we had right after I got my 6/1 ST 5kw set up for back up power. I got it running and had to go feed the livestock.. I gave the wife a simple command to run just one item at a time until I got back to expand on the concept later.

Well I had allot of problems, and time got away from me.. By the time I got home it was dark 30 and as I came into view of our house the lights were all but flashing on and off..  Not only did she have about every light in the house on but the elect oven, water pump and dishwasher.  I raced to the Listeroid that was just able to run at 250 rpms with the 10kw load asked from it.
So,, a real deep breath later we started all over with the explanation of what 1 item on at a time meant.

No harm done,, and goes to show the over load limits this type of set up can endure.

Looks a little past what we would relate to as the "KISS" system..  I can tell you now that all that high dollar meters,, and shut down control box will be eaten up by the vibrations in short order..  I understand its all mounted on a trailer to tow around to different trade shows but I would give it 30 hours running time before parts start falling off.

Got to start somewhere,, and if its cooling ,, it works..

I will tell you this from my mistakes.. All 3 of my Lister's are mounted on heavy I-beam,, or channel iron frames with the radiator mounts welded to the main frame,, as an upright.  Well no matter how much iron,, there is a constant shaking going on that works on the old car radiators I'm using.

My plans are is to make a self supporting stand alone radiator stand,, and allow the rubber coolant hoses to cancel the engine vibes to add some life to the radiator cores..

Sure glad a few true Lister nuts went to the effort to get this all set up for us..
