nice sunny cool day here yesterday,   Both of my 5kw SMA  inverters were humming away at 5100 watts each much of the day.

so i guess it is working correctly now?   Those fuse holders definitely require glasses to spot for anyone over 55 years old.   If you have big hands like me that are also a pain to get to.  Hope you array is working ok now.

I think it would be a great idea.  We have 22.5kw of solar,  2.5kw wind turbine,  2 solar air heaters total about 150 sq/ft,  one parabolic reflcetor water heater 32 sq/ft and 96 sq/ft copper tube/fin water heater.

Jesse, I'm not sure without reading all of the postings but I have found it is to your advantage to find your belt first then fit the add-ons to it. Some belt sizes they make millions and a spare belt may be on the neighbors car if you need a replacement. If you pick an odd length the price will scare you and its availability is hard to acquire. I tried to get as much wrap on the pulley to help reduce belt tension and load on the bearings. I used a tensioner off a truck with the same belt width. I was going to post a picture of mine but have learned photo bucket has become a big pain to deal with!  Thanks HenryW for the how to!

didn't do a real study but the difference in winter from summer angles is quite substantial when i checked.  if i move the panels from summer to winter position in the winter i gain about 30% and same when i move them from winter to summer in the summer.   I move them 4 times a year and it takes about 10 minutes to change the angle.

When I did my ground array i rented a tracked auger to bore my holes.   I needed to bore to a depth of 6 feet with a diameter of 30" for my 4" schedule 40 steel pipe.  our array has 7 uprights and required about 9 cubic yards of concrete.   Needless to say i wasn't doing any mixing.  The cement truck parked at the street and i used a motorized dump buggy to move the concrete to the holes about 300 feet away.   It only took about 90 minutes to get the job done.   The array is on a adjustable mount that can go from 60 degrees to 0 degrees to  horizontal.  The array consists of 56 200 watt panels for a total of 11.2 Kwh The array is 10 feet tall and 91 feet wide.  It can be adjusted for seasons by one person as it is very well balanced.  I did the install back in late 2009 and it has been performing great with no problems.

Bob,

While it is probably a long shot that anything could be done, I could see myself signing such a letter.

I don't have a tribe.  I am an American! I have the same right to vote for the person i believe will do the best job for the United States Of America as every other American citizen.

The Boston tea party analogy just doesn't make sense.  The colonists were oppressed (taxaction without representation) by the British government and revolted against the crown.  We just had a democratic election as set forth in the constitution of the United States of America and a new president was elected.

Just because some people don't like that Donald J Turmp was elected as our next president  doesn't give them the right to riot and destroy public and private property. No one here wants there home or business burned to the ground do they?

The party of tolerance has no tolerance for anything they don't agree with period.

Remember which party was against the freeing of the slaves, the formation of the KKK and against the Equal rights amendment in the 1960's  (democratic).

There were no riots when Bill Clinton was elected, there were no riots when Barrack Obama was elected, but there were when both Bush's were elected and now Trump.   The party of tolerance should be the party of intolerance

President Obama has done more to hurt race relations in this country in the last 8 years then any president before him.

Well i have been watching the news for the last couple of days and it looks like the tolerant left isn't so tolerant and doesn't like the newly elected president of the United States. They are now deciding to take to the streets in many large cities and block streets and highways and throw rocks at police and in some cases setting fire to some buildings.  This is not protesting the is rioting. What do they have to protest? Did many of them even Vote? My father who was a very wise man said to me when i was young "If you don't vote you can't bitch about the outcome"
The mainstream media is covering it and saying how these brave people are standing up for their rights.  We all have the same right go out and vote and let the people decide, which they did.
If conservatives had taken to the streets in 2008 or 2012 there would have been cries from the mainstream media of racism just because the president was black because in there minds it couldn't be about his politics

Whats with the colleges cancelling midterms because the prof's feel the students are too traumatized to take their exams? Some colleges are bringing in service dogs to comfort the emotionally fragile students.  Have we created a generation of snowflakes?

Just my little rant.
