Thanks to all the hard work of forum member Tom Reed, the forum has been updated to the latest version
and is being transferred to a new host as well.
Tom has put a lot of time and effort into saving the forum, and for those that don't know what happened, we are still not sure of.
In the past our host (hostmonster) updated their php software and the forum would go down, i would call them and have them roll back our php to the earlier version and back up we would go.
somehow over the course of time, backups were not working as they should. and when the host started another upgrade the forum went down and that is when things got really messed up.
the foregoing is my less than educated summation of what took place, in other words... blah blah blah.
We are very fortunate to have a member that has the experience and know how to recover the forum, get it upgraded and most importantly recover most if not all the attachments, particularly the pdf files.
my understanding is we have some/many picture files that are corrupted, and maybe over time we can get them repaired or replaced and get that content back as well.

Thanks Tom Reed for all you have done and continue to do for this forum.

Tom, as I mentioned many times throughout this ordeal, we can't thank you enough for everything you have done, and everything that you continue to do. You've brought this forum back to life. And, most of the information is saved.

Thank you. Time consuming work.
With the change in the address of the forum, my login didnt work. I wrote to the address specified for admin contact and got no response in a week. Finally today I was able to recover my previous password from my PC and apply it to the new site and now Im back, but there must be quite a few members other than me who have been locked out. Could the old admin add an alternative address for forum support so that response to such problems could be dealt with in a more timely manner ? It should never come down to just a single person ?

microcogen is going to be transferred back to the original domain. This will be happening soon. Once the transfer is complete things should get back to normal quickly.

Tom T hear was wondering what went wrong my computer died when I got up and running the forum was gone good to see it back up old link did not work sis a search found new link an got back on. Tom T
