Title: Small Changfa Oil Filtration and Cooling
Post by: veggie on February 01, 2017, 03:54:17 PM
Hey guys, have a look at what this fellow did to a small changfa CHP (or BHKW in German) system.
He tapped into the cover for the oil pump and diverted the flow through a spin-on filter.
Excellent idea for extended run engines. One could take it a step further and run the oil through an external non-vented buffer oil reservoir for added oil capacity.

Also note that the unit is making 2.5kw of electrical output and 5.3kw of thermal energy.
So the user is collecting exhaust and coolant heat.
A very efficient little system.
