Flywheel,

I love these little air cooled engines.
Any chance you could post a YouTube video of the unit running?

PS: Are they available in Canada or the US?

I don't own a video camera to make a video.  I don't think they can be imported to the US, Canada maybe.  Do a google search on the Changfa diesel r165 and 165f and there are videos.

reviving an old thread here.....

Hey Flywheel,
I finally found one of those air cooled diesels like yours.
I have not tried it yet. I just un-boxed it. Got it from a friend.
Looking forward to playing with it.
How has yours been since you first posted your pictures.
Does it run well? Anything to report?

Here's mine.....

Here's mine.....

Mine is just fine and its the quietest little engine I have.  The reason its just fine and quiet is its just sitting on a shelf, never been fired up.

Got mine fired up today....

Prior to firing I opened the crankcase inspection cover and looked around.
REPORT:
-No sand or foreign materials
-Replaceable con rod shells
-Large ball bearing mains
-cast iron block and cylinder

I added some 10-30 diesel oil and a liter of fuel and hand cranked it to life.

Here's some pictures...

Bad idea Veggie!
What is my r165 water cooled sitting on the shelf next to the 165f air cooled going to think?
They have been friends for a long time.

QuoteVeggie..... The intake and exhaust are backwards

If it has a oil bath intake, does hooking them up backwards give it a smokey afterburner?   ;)
