Title: ST vs STC?
Post by: cgwymp on November 11, 2009, 05:06:12 AM
I'm starting to investigate generators and I'm reading a lot about ST/STC genheads.  However, I'm not clear on what the difference is between ST and STC.  Can anyone enlighten me?

Cheers!

in the ST head, the stator is wound generally for 120/240 single phase power,

in the STC head, the stator is wound generally for 230/400 three phase, certainly
there are likely other variants in voltage, but the stc designates a 3 phase head
