Finally got my GM90 back together after a tear down.
Here's a few of the things I did while I had it apart...
- Added a TDC pointer located on one of the Injector bolts
- Added a Listeroid 6/1 rocker shaft grease system (had to drill a hole in the rocker cover)
- Changed the connecting rod bearing shells (originals were dirty and had an incorrect fit)
- GTG Head Gasket
- Painted the engine
- Added the lube oil filtration system
- Modified the vertical tube crankcase breather to a larger tube and larger (better) check valve
Fired her up for a quick check before proceeding with the rest of the CHP system.
So far...so good.

Ahh sooo nice when you fix something and it works ;D
Now that is a real chick magnet.
WOW...so simple and clean..really nice. Use it as floor sample in your shop.
Are you planning to sell this kind of setup?
Thanks for the kind comments guys....

Nope...this is just my own house backup power and shop CHP system.
I don't expect GM90's (or any other Listeroid) to be available in Canada after the end of this year. (based on current information from EPA-Canada)

Very prideful job.
I noticed you didn't have the water hooked up. How long do you feel its safe to run these engines without coolant in them?

About 45 seconds..... (just long enough to film it ;) )
Enough to make sure it runs before I continue with the rest of the system.

I'd feel a lot more comfortable with that water jacket filled. No circulation - just filled with a cap or plug in the lower coolant fitting.
